NBA by miles. David Stern has revolutionized basketball in the global stage. The NBA is seen by millions in Europe and Asia. The sport that gets the closest to soccer in the global stage is basketball. Just look at the current immigration of players from foreign countries in the NBA. From my team i can name Gasol,Vuja?i?, Mbenga, and you can even include Ariza since he is Dominican American. I think the NFL wants to take a similar approach to the NBA but i dont think american patriotism will let that happen.



@everybody: you see what i mean when I say this forum is full of lil kids? 6 thumbs down for saying something that is true. I love the mexican league as much as anybody but its no competition for the NBA
well that one is pretty much one sided, the fmf or mexican football is obviously more popular because not only does it gets tons of views from Latin America but also all the hispanics in USA (including mexicans).



I dare to say the FMF is one of the biggest and most important SPORT league in the western hemisphere. The NBA is really not popular in latin america because not alot of countries played that sport or even familiar with it. Also giant tv networks backs it up, like televisa and tvazteca which are affiliated with a variety american tv channels

the NBA is the EPL of basketball. it is known world wide. with yao ming from china (1 billion people), gasol from spain, dirk from germany, parker from france, kobe grew up in italy and speaks italian, and even the guys from latin america like manu. the mexican soccer league cant hold a candle to the NBA in terms of popularity. NBA games are shown all over the world, mexican soccer games are shown in the US and mexico (in latin america if they are in libertadores). the NBA is bigger. NO CONTEST!



how many people saw lakers vs rockets and celtics vs magic compared to the mexican playoffs?
Honestly NBA.. well here in the United States cause i bet every1 at ur school will know what the NBA is no1 except the mexicans at ur school will know what the FMF is. But in Mexico the FMF is Bigger and Popular. in my Opinion i think FMF is WAY WAY WAY better than the NBA

I would have to say the FMF. It's the biggest sport watched in Mexico, and its als owatched by a lot of mexicans in the United States. The NBA might be the EPL of basketball, but basketball isnt as big as soccer/football. American Football is bigger than basketball in the U.S.

you can say the nba is held to a similar standard as the epl is to soccer.



but either way soccer beats any sport by a mile. nuthin comes close.

FMF is well known by Latin America, and Hispanics in the US



NBA is known by ppl in the states...also in countries like England,Italy,and Germany.

The person would be like "No but i like the FMF"
