Why have you asked this exact same question SEVEN times?I'm worried about my son, is he alright?
Oh, stop bragging about him. Of course he's gonna make it.I'm worried about my son, is he alright?
UT Austin has a very high acceptance rate (44%). Your son's GPA is not particularly good, but it is not awful either. It is a bit iffy without any SAT scores, but according to CollegeBoard the average scores of students who got accepted was roughly 1800 total, 1230 composite. Your son has a considerably good set of extracurricular activities and achievements. I think that he has a very good chance of being accepted into UT Austin if you SAT scores are around 1800.

What he wants to be won't really affect his acceptance. He might have to choose which college he wants to apply to (within UT Austin) or which he plans to major in, but his career choices won't really come into play much here.
