Importance of home vs. away?

in which leauge of sports, mlb (major league baseball), nfl (national football league), or nba (national basketball association) is homecourt most important to a team

?Importance of home vs. away?
i would say all sports momentum is the key and the mental aspects of the game to drive that team to win more motivating mentally is the key
none, I dont believe it matters in the pros, fans dont get into it like collegeImportance of home vs. away?
um,.... not MLB. the other two the crowd can drown out away teams calls and such.
It depends ultimately. Most players on major league teams have years of experience at dealing with fans so fans are usually not an issue. There are some considerations that must be taken into account. Some teams play on artificial turf and some on natural gas. Some teams play in cold weather and some play under the sun. Some play in snow and some in the rain. Usually it is these little considerations that can affect a players performance. Other things such as noise level by the fans open field versus closed dome style would make it harder for away teams to hear audible calls. If you want to know which sport I think severely feels the differences then I would have to choose the NFL as each stadium is different, weather is different and can be an outside or inside staium. Hope this helps.Importance of home vs. away?
I would say all sports in the MLB players know their field better and they know how the crowds react. Im Basketball the momenteum of the fans gives u confident and 75% of a shot is because of confident. In the NFL you may play better be cause you may have speacial turf grass or something that you are used to playing in.
NFL has the biggest advantage for the home team (since it's only 1 game vs. that opponent in the playoffs.) NBA is a close 2nd because it's very loud too. In baseball it's not anywhere close to as much of an advantage.
well, having homefield can be advantage, first, you got most of the fan cheering for you, second, most of the team can pump in the crowd noise through speakers... It's kinda cheating but every team are doing it.
I would think in basketball since it requires more concentration than football when shooting a free throw and things like that. Probably the least is in baseball, where a team plays a series of games in each away town so they have a little time to recover from the travel.
