There's a sign in my street saying no ball games allowed. However, the green space it has been put over is perfectly fine for playing football and there is no need to restrict it. No-one else uses it either , at all. However, the sign has been erected by a 'street association', so i assume that's not the actual council putting the sign up. Anyway, if it is not the council putting the sign up, would i still et possibly fined for playing football there? If it is not the council, is it still a bylaw?

you will not be fined, they have no right unless the own the land. I have the same issue where i live. I would ring the council and complain or simply remove the signs. Good luck
