-Art National Honor Society

-And 200 Hospital Community Service Hours

His High School is very hard like ranked 13th in the nation...what do you recommend

He wants to be a Dentist or Dermatologist

Hes taking the SAT in October

He's not top 10 percent tho and hes disappointedI'm worried about my son, is he alright?
Being in the top 10% can be difficult in highly competitive schools. I graduated with a 4.19 and wasn't in the top 10% at my high school and I was admitted to my first choice school.

The information on collegeboard.com indicates that your son should be a great candidate for UT Austin. His volunteer work and honors status should definitely help him. The median SAT scores are pretty high, so he should focus on his test-taking skills over the next few months. School counseling centers usually have practice tests.

Admissions essays were at the top of this school's admission requirements, so he should put some time into them. It's important to just commit and work hard...he's almost there!
