Whose side are you on when it comes to the collective bargaining agreement? The owners or the players? I heard the players association has made an offers to the owners, for a 50/50 revenue split but the owners have turned that down. For all that I've heard it seems the owners are getting extremely greedy and won't be happy unless they get everything they want instead of compromising. Football is the most popular sport in the U.S., so does anyone think if an agreement doesn't happen soon the popularity of the NFL might take a hit. How does this mess affect your feelings for the NFL? What does people think will happen with the collective bargaining agreement?|||Really, neither. Its basically a fight for more money. The owners want more games, thus generating more revenue, and the players don't want to play more games, they simply want more money. Most of the arguments that I have heard, have basically been absurd by both sides, and the more and more I see and hear DeMaurice Smith talk, the more and more I realize that he's a bigger idiot than Goodell, and I imagine that a lockout is coming, and as it stands right now, I don't see it ending anytime soon.
What I really don't think either side sees, is that college football is huge right now, and that in the absence of the NFL, more people will turn to college games. Its not like when baseball and hockey had their lockouts, because they are the only "game in town" when it comes to those sports. But college football is arguably the 2nd most popular sport in this country, and the longer an NFL lockout goes, more an more people will eventually become less interested in its return, since their is another, similar product out there, played at the same time of the year.|||I always tend to side with the players. Nobody forced the owners to overpay rookies or anybody else. I've never gone to a game to watch an owner play. No owners spend the rest of their lives crippled because of what the game does to their bodies and if they sell the team they make a killing.
I've never been one of these fans whining about the players being overpaid. WE ALL try to make as much money as possible and if I was a player that is what I'd do.|||I am on the side of the fans.
Don't need to hear a bunch of millionaires whining to a bunch of billionaires!
Give us a break, shut up, and get back to work. And remember it is us that pays your salaries!|||Players|||gooo patriots.
