Is it right for Celtic to slam the SFA over Brown's dismissal?

"Celtic have resumed their spat with the Scottish Football Association after appealing the red card that Scott Brown picked up in the 1-0 defeat by Rangers at Ibrox on Sunday."

"The Hoops captain was sent packing by Dougie McDonald in the 65th minute for tangling with Rangers midfielder Kyle Lafferty, who escaped unpunished."|||No ,the boards an embarrassment Brown getting involved was stupid|||Yes because the dismissal was a joke...I think any sane person can see that|||Yes, we should take it all the way, a yellow at worst, and same for Lafferty.|||Whatever way you look at it, it was a very soft sending off, a 50-50 scuffle between 2 players, one gets a red card the other walks away with nothing.

Brown should have known better than to go anywhere near Lafferty though, Its a well known fact that the guy is an utter cheat and he will stoop to any level to get a player sent off.

We can complain all we want about refs, but as long as there are players that act and cheat to deceive refs, it wont make their jobs any easier will it?

I'd be surprised if the SFA overturn the decision on appeal as it would play into the conspiracy theorists hands. Even if Celtic won the appeal, it wont change the result the only benefit would be Brown not being banned.

*Krissy, Lafferty's hand in Brown's face came before the non existent headbutt! did you miss that?*

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qBlmFMxvU鈥?/a>|||What the ref saw and what the footage clearly shows is Brown and Lafferty tussling with their arms around one another (not a punishable offense for either player) but then Brown attempts to go in with his head while Lafferty was attempting to push him away, doesn't matter if he makes contact or not the rules say he has to be sent off and the decision was correct.

But obviously its all Lafferty's fault per usual and Brown is completely innocent.

No I didn't miss that Allan it was part of the tussle and he was trying to push him away. It was pure handbags until Brown attempted to go in with his head and thats what he got sent off for. Its not a difficult decision and one that celtic will not win an appeal against.|||why not they complain about everything bloody else......may have been soft..the intent was there...will they admit that..no they won't...

pay him jam..were skint remember....|||It was 50 - 50 but instigated by Brown up until he went in with the head at which time it is an ordering off. A stonewall red card for violent conduct that there can be no complaints about. a bit similar to this

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ITdPTKpGH鈥?/a>

Brown just isn't as good at it

There is no way the ref will change his mind.

All fair minded people know he had to go and anyone who doesn't think it should have been a red card is deluded.|||All the deluded ones from Planet of the Papes at Porkheed seem to think Brown is as good a player as the likes of Zidane. The hypes went to Squeaky-voice Browns head so it was only a matter of time before he copied Zidanes headbutt.

Jokes aside there was intent to stick his head into Laffertys chest = violent conduct = red card.

Its not rocket science, it's the laws of the game. Simples|||That wee dickh3ad is a pure bellend and a waste of space i have no time for shite h3ads like him

And the ref was shite too how much did yous pay him anyway|||What i don't get is why no one is raging at Brown he went in with the head after a handbag slapping match between him and a much heavier taller opponent if a Rangers player done that id want him fined by the club. He DID go in with the head which is a RED CARD there is no where around it. The SFA will throw this out i hope Uefa do get involved because Browns Ban will be extended - He thinks he is a hardman he looks more like a stoner|||I thought it was handbags, but a wee severe to send him off ...|||As a neutral fan brown deserved to get sent off. Also the spl should increase his ban to 4 games for appealling when it was a so blatant red card.
